#FridaysForFuture is a movement that began in August 2018, after 15-year-old Greta Thunberg and other young activists sat in front of the Swedish parliament every schoolday for three weeks, to protest against the lack of action on the climate crisis. She posted what she was doing on Instagram and Twitter and it soon went viral. We strike every week to demand that our local governments take decisive action to address the climate crisis and ensure a habitable future for all. Please stop by and we will be happy to talk to you.

Fridays for Future East Bay's List of demands for Chevron

This is the list of demands we will be using for our upcoming Chevron HQ protest on May 21

1. Switch to a clean energy company by 2028 and no longer be any type of fossil fuel provider.

2. Discontinue all oil exploration and new facilities and instead make your new infrastructure electric, green, and made to produce commercial renewable energy by 2022.

3. Discontinue public climate change denial efforts and publicly apologize for the deaths that have occured in the Bay Area from your racist placing of your oil refineries.

4. Stop collaborating with political groups to achieve less fossil fuel regulations and climate action. Instead, stay non-political from a corporate point of view. Also work climate with regulations and use them to create profitable green income.

5. Embrace the Green New Deal and create a just transition for your fossil fuel workers. Also, stop pushing anti-green new deal phobia and fears of renewable energy.
